About Me
I was born on a cusp, which explains a lot about me. I am earth and fire. I am a contrast in personality. I am passionate and positive and moody. I have a relationship with the wind. I’m a loner with a shitload of friends. I’m bohemian with a touch of fancy. I like books, candles, photographs, yoga, dogs, chocolate, sunshine, and charming stuff.
Mostly, I consider myself a truthteller, dreampusher, and freedomseeker and I write what I write because I want to inspire women to listen to their souls and find their “them”.
Leap and Twirl began because of a sad heart and a cute outfit. I was going through a very painful time in my life. It could have been one bummer ass of a day, but I happened to be wearing an outfit that made my soul sing a little. As I was walking downtown wearing my sundress and cowboy boots, I felt a sudden childlike urge to leap and twirl down the street. I could have resisted and turned my attention back to my sad heart. But the sun was shining bright…and my sundress was blowing in the breeze….and I made a conscious choice to listen to my soul. I took a leap (yes downtown surrounded by others) and it felt liberating…and then I did a twirl and I felt free. On that very day, I made it my mission to leap and twirl often. I leap and twirl literally and also figuratively, for a rich life requires taking many leaps….and twirling….well it’s just fun.
Leap and Twirl is dedicated to offering inspiration and connection through words, photographs, art, beauty, and truth.
I wish for you…to find the beauty in all things, people, and especially your magical self. I invite you to be the star of your story….get in touch with your spirit and allow your soul to sparkle. Leap and Twirl.

Andrea, I am a male professional photographer, and I hit the Skirt.com website through a link from a lady friend of mine, and I was really impressed at what I learned about women’s attitudes and candid outloud thinking, yours in particular. Since my primary income is from women’s portraits, (and tasteful sexy ones are a part of that), I left a post for you, and I was very impressed with your article on “Art equals porn”,…your husband is a lucky guy. You are still a hottie, so you just keep hanging in there with that great attitude! I love your honesty. What kind of processing are you doing to your photos? I didn’t know if I could offer any helpful suggestions or not.

I consider myself a truthteller, dreampusher, and freedomseeker and I write what I write because we shouldn’t be ashamed of who we are. The truth shall set you free. I know there are many people that look at nude photography or view porn. We are sexual beings. It makes it more weird when we’re so ashamed of what’s going on in our minds or behind closed doors. At the same time, I understand that we should have boundaries. However, I choose to use myself as an example in order to inspire those women who may not have as free of a spirit as me but who could greatly benefit if they opened their mind a little. Where are you based out of? The program I use is Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo x2. Probably just an amateur program…I’m not really sure as I have no training in these kinds of things. I do know that I LOVE photography and I LOVE to fool around with my photos

I can not express enough how truely blessed I feel to have been able to meet you lastnight. I have been sitting here reading, crying, & laughing, with my heart pounding the whole time, for the last 30 min.
You are truely beautiful! Your spirit, your energy and your creativity, mixed with a breath taking smile is absolutely uplifting. I have always thought myself to be a positive, pay it forward, smiles cure everything kind of a girl, but at this moment I want to run outside and leap and twirl like I was 5 again. I could go on and on about how wonderfull I think you and this blog our, but instead I am just going to say Thank you for it. It is beautiful and insightful and charming.
Now I do believe I am off to put on a cute little sun dress, take my dogs to the park, and leap and twirl along the way………………….:)
I sit here fat and pregnant and do not feel like leaping or twirling. One because I am so chunky and two I would probably hurt myself in the process…hopefully I can get there in a few months……Signed Fat and Pregnant.
